Shocks 12m18

Thank you for accepting to this board an American owner of a sorta Steyr Bastard child. My M1078 LMTV US military truck 1996

we share with the 12m18 the cab and few minor things. A few more designs are conceptually the same but not Steyr produced like the arch the cab latches too and cab lift cylinder design.

May I please rack your knowledge banks on shocks on the 12m18. I suspect we share the same parameters in this department. Little is know about the shocks on our LMTV's. but some physical measurements. Nothing aftermarket available yet. Seems this is not the case with the 12m18.

Anyone care to share specifications on the 12m18 shocks? Maybe offer up manufacturer and model of shocks that have successfully been used...Have seen Koni shocks used on 12m18's. Am particular interested in shocks that would be good for conversions of the 12m18 to overland camper.

Hey, most of us are using koni shocks, which are adjustable shocks and in a good quality. I changed them in the end of last year and it is a big different to the old one.

The Koni Parts No is 90-2496.

so far it seems this Koni is not sold in US.... but does not mean it can't be gotten thru a Koni dealer..... It's a weekend.... won't know more till later in the week.

searching for specs on it now.... not finding much.... anyone got an old shock on a shelf that can measure the eye bolt hole(s) inside diameter? Maybe total length and compressed length?

I dont know about the Compatibility to Steward & Stephenson M1078.

Have been assured by Koni that this shock is in production. Guess the last production run is spent. NO clue yet on when next production run will happen or how many they will produce.

Ist das immer noch... habe mir nach der Sommerfahrt 2018 schon damit beschäftigt. War nichts lieferbar in NL.
